Aarhus School of Architecture hosts the fifth OPEN Architecture Festival, and continue the critical and investigative approach to architecture in a changing world, encouraging the cross-disciplinary dialogue between Practice, Business and Academia. This year´s festival, In the Eyes of the Ordinary, is curated by Karen Kjaergaard and co-curators, Asal Mohtashami, and Bendik Støckert.
WHAT TO EXPECT?
OPEN25 provides a unique and inclusive setting for knowledge exchange and inspiration. From five main stages, we present thematic panel talks, interviews, film screenings, exhibitions, and artistic performances. In between sessions, the outdoor camp creates a relaxed atmosphere with music, bar and local street food.
NO ORDINARY FESTIVAL
This year’s theme In the Eyes of the Ordinary, revitalizes architecture´s capacity to bring forward extraordinary perspectives and insights through the ordinary. Through built and unbuilt visions, from history to the present, from urban infrastructures to rural landscapes, we ignite a discourse that shifts from an individualistic I to a collective WE.
